While re-reading My Friend Flicka the other day I read a mention of a book called Castle Blair, Ken observes it amongst his books while he is supposed to be doing his homework. There is a brief description of the book
And what a world that let you into - a whole gang of children that lived in a castle in Scotland...I was interested, it sounded just the sort of book that our family would enjoy. A sounds a bit like Swallows and Amazons. I looked it up on the internet and found there really is such a book. Castle Blair by Flora, L. Shaw. I looked for it in the online cataloge of our library but they don't have it. And then I found this e-book and intend to read it. So far I have read the first sentence which is....
